First-time ‘Karaokiers’ will often confess that they pre-judged this activity as being childish, yet later admit that it was in fact highly entertaining. The Ara is therefore a recommended venue for after-dinner relaxation, and a nightcap or perhaps two. Many people say that singing your heart out to a fun-loving audience is a wonderful stress reliever!

This is a simple but inviting venue for a few drinks at any time of day, a place to sip something nice, either to sit alone and watch the Manhattan’s world go by, enjoy a chat with friends, or conduct an informal business meeting in pleasantly relaxed surroundings.  

This little bijou tucked into the corner of the hotel lobby offers a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, tasty gourmet teas, and blends of just-ground Arabica coffee. There is however a friendly danger here for weight watchers - the Manhattan has its own long-established bakery, which in addition to making lovely croissants and crusty breads, produces some very tempting sweet delights, the  Manhattan fruitcake being a particular favourite with local residents.

The fitness room overlooks the hotel swimming pool, connected to it by a short stairway. It offers thereforean ideal combination -either limbering up with a swim before a work out, or cooling off afterwards, with the tempting choice of just basking in the sunshine by the pool at any time in between the two. The exercise equipment is brand new, offers the most recent advances in technology, and will satisfy the needs of the most ardent of health conscious people. The Manhattan pool is located in a small garden sanctuary on the third floor of the hotel. Surrounded by greenery, it provides delightful retreat for sunbathing, swimming and relaxing. This is a quiet corner where you can catch up on your reading, or simply forget the world completely, and doze off. Order some drinks if you are thirsty, a snack if you are peckish, most of all, just enjoy this lovely part of the hotel.
